In Whom or What is your IDENTITY?

If you're currently wrestling with questions on identity or if you ever have, I believe the answer never changes.

When your identity rests in anything but Jesus Christ and a relationship with God, it will never be enough and it will not sustain you.

I was a shy, introverted, quiet child but I remember being fearful of others opinions - wanting to be cool but never quite hitting the mark! Fast forward a couple of decades and having journeyed through the confusion and challenges of adolescence, migrating to live in a new country and then establishing a life in that place away from family, the questions on identity never really dissipated - they just morphed into new bigger and seemingly more life-altering dilemmas.

Ultimately, the journey brought me to a place of God literally roping me back into His arms, cancelling the enemy's lies one-by-one with His truth and reminding me who I was. This has encouraged and empowered me to walk in the truth of who He created me to be, in His authority and in the righteousness I have, in Christ Jesus.

IMAGO DEI - God's Image Bearers - just as a son or daughter bears the image of their parent, we bear the image of God who created us. Everything that is found in Him, is reflected in us. So if you’ve lost sight of who you are… who you really are… this is a reminder:

IDENTITY

We, as a community, are created to reflect the image of God on the earth.

This brand was created as a reminder that within Him lies our true IDENTITY.

May every piece serve as a reminder of who you are:

His beloved daughter,

His chosen son.

SEEK GOD

Even when it's hard to see or recognise who you are when you see your reflection in the mirror, remember that He resides in you, and YOU ARE HIS TEMPLE and as such, everything that is in Him, is deep down inside of you, waiting to be brought to the surface.

How?

The more we seek Him, spend time with Him and meditate on His Word, the closer we are drawn to Him.

"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." James 4:8 NKJV
